BISMARCK, N.D.—Silas Bennion and
Jimmy Llinas from the University of Jamestown men's basketball team were named to the North Star Athletic Association All-Conference first team, the league office announced Tuesday.
Bennion led Jamestown with 16.7 points and 3.5 assists per game. He also averaged 3.7 rebounds and shot 46.3 percent from the field.
Llinas, who was also selected to the NSAA All-Defense team, led UJ with 8.3 rebounds per game and averaged 11.0 points per game while shooting a team-best 65.6 percent. He also averaged 1.3 steals, 1.2 blocks, and recorded 9 double-doubles.
Anthony Walters was named to the second team. Walters was the second-leading scorer for UJ, averaging 14.3 points per game. His .409 three-point field goal percentage ranks first on the team, and his 54 three-pointers is second.
Owen Hektner was named honorable mention All-Conference. He averaged 10.9 points and 4.0 rebounds per game while leading the Jimmies with 56 three-pointers. Hektner shot 40 percent from three-point range and 40.8 percent overall.
Will Cordes was the Jimmies' recipient of the NSAA Champions of Character award.
