Women's track & field compete at Marauders Outdoor Opener

Bismarck, N.D. – The University of Jamestown women's track and field team competed at the Marauders Outdoor Opener in Bismarck, North Dakota, on Saturday. The women took fifth place and recorded three personal bests.
FOR THE JIMMIES – TRACK EVENTS

Paige Erhardt placed eighth in the 100-meter Hurdles with a time of 16.41 to earn one team point. Madalyn Neumann also competed and ran a 19.46.
Sara Sletto earned a point in the 200 meters with her eighth-place finish and time of 28.34.
Brooke Olson set a personal best of 5:22.70 in the 1500 meters to earn a point. Kirsten Vander Kooi also set a personal best with a time of 5:32.75.

FOR THE JIMMIES – FIELD EVENTS

Heather Okeson placed sixth in the Discus with a distance of 36.39m, good for three points. Makenzie Gibson followed in seventh at 35.19m to add two points.
Okeson and Gibson also competed in the Hammer Throw, marking 37.44m and 36.89m, respectively.
Madalyn Neumann placed third in the High Jump with a mark of 1.55m to earn five points. Sara Bonn matched her personal best of 1.50m to take fifth place and add four points.
Paige Erhardt placed fourth in the Javelin Throw with a distance of 38.10m to earn five points. Cambrie Fischer (33.80m) and Sara Bonn (28.85m) also competed.
Sydney Ulrich placed eighth in the Long Jump with a mark of 4.59m, earning one point. Keely Arnston followed with a mark of 4.14m.
Quinn Bassingthwaite placed first in the Pole Vault, with a height of 3.20m, to earn 10 team points. Ruth Harris tagged on eight points with her second-place finish and mark of 3.05m.
Harris placed fifth in the Triple Jump with a mark of 10.07m to earn four team points.
