Jamestown, N.D. – The University of Jamestown men's basketball team secured a road win against the Mayville State Comets on Saturday night. Three Jimmie players reached double figures, led by
Silas Bennion with 25, followed by
Anthony Walters with 13 and
Jimmy Llinas with 12.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Jimmy Llinas started out the game with a dunk, and four minutes into play, a fastbreak layup from Silas Bennion gave the Jimmies the lead. The Jimmies held their lead almost the entire half, but the Comets went on a 21-8 run starting at 11:12 to lead by five with two minutes on the clock.
- Silas Bennion hit a triple and a jumper to catch the Comets. The teams entered the second half even, each with 34 points.
- The Comets scored first to go up by two, but two threes from Owen Hektner and a good jumper from Carson Woodford pulled the Jimmies ahead by six. The Jimmies largest lead of the second was 11 points with six minutes and change to go credit to another Jimmy Llinas dunk.
- While the Comets got as close as a single point, they failed to find another lead, and the game went to the Jimmies 78-71.
- The Jimmies hit eight threes in the second half for 66.7%. Walters went 3-3, Hektner hit two, and Bennion, Will Cordes, and Spencer Barr each added one.
- The Jimmies recorded seven steals, two each from Cole Glasgow and Hektner, and 40 rebounds, led by Cordes with eight.
