Fourteen women earn points, 11 record personal bests at NSAA Indoor Championships

Brookings, S.D. – The University of Jamestown women's track and field team competed at the NSAA Indoor Championships on Sunday. Fourteen women placed to earn points in their events, and 11 had personal bests. 

FOR THE JIMMIES – TRACK EVENTS
  • Paige Erhardt placed fifth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.50 to earn four team points. Sara Bonn and Ella Germundson also competed and finished with times of 10.36 and a personal best of 10.41, respectively.
  • Madalyn Neumann placed seventh in the 400 meters at 1:05.93 for two points. Germundson also competed with a personal best time of 1:08.66.
  • Allyson Goodmanson placed fifth in the mile with a personal best time of 5:35.15, good for four points.
  • Lilly Petty placed third in the 3000-meter with a personal best of 11:04.50 to add six points. Goodmanson and Kirsten Vander Kooi followed in seventh and eighth place with personal best times of 11:12.57 and 11:23.60, respectively, to accumulate three points. 
  • Brooke Olson and Jennifer Tallackson also competed in the 3000 meters and ran 11:28.96 and 11:54.94, respectively. 
  • Vander Kooi placed third in the 5000-meter run with a personal best time of 20:00, good for six points. Olson, Tallackson, and Isabelle Julian followed in fourth, fifth, and sixth place. Olson ran a personal best of 20:01.98, Tallackson ran a personal best of 20:18.96, and Julian ran 21:08.14 to accumulate 12 points. 
  • Monica Goven ran a personal best of 8.32 in the 60 meters, and Mackenzie Bakken finished with an 8.63. 
FOR THE JIMMIES – FIELD EVENTS
  • Paige Erhardt earned six points in the high jump with her third-place finish and mark of 1.55m. Madalyn Neumann placed sixth at 1.50m to add three points, and Sara Bonn followed in eighth at 1.40m to add one point. 
  • Cambrie Fischer finished seventh in the long jump with a distance of 4.84m for two points. Sydney Ulrich and Mackenzie Bakken also competed. Ulrich jumped 4.54m, and Bakken jumped 4.48m. 
  • Quinn Bassingthwaite placed second in the pole vault at a personal best of 3.30m for eight points, and Ruth Harris followed in third at a personal best of 3.15m for 5.5 points, and Bakken finished sixth with 2.70m for three points. 
  • Brenna Held finished fifth in the shot put with a personal best throw of 13.00m, good for four points.
  • Monica Goven placed seventh in the triple jump, marking 10.25m for two points. Harris followed with a mark of 10.13m to place eighth and add one point. Ulrich also competed and marked 8.99m. 
  • Held and Heather Okeson completed in the weight throw and marked 14.41m and a personal best of 13.39m, respectively
