FAYETTE, Mo.— Fourth-ranked Central Methodist University scored two first-half goals that ended up being the margin of victory as the Jimmie women's soccer team suffered their first loss of the season by a score of 3-1 Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Kirstine Lykke had goals in the 17th and 27th minutes as the Eagles took a 2-0 lead into the break.
- Jamestown was held to three shots total in the first half, two of which were blocked, and the other high of the net.
- The Jimmies put more offensive pressure on in the first quarter-hour of the second half, and broke through in the 56th minute. Gaby Sarkis scored on a pass from Kyah Gabel to make it 2-1.
- Lykke completed her hat trick with an insurance goal in the 74th minute.
- Bre Oettle (81st) and Clara Pelegrina (89th) each had a shot on goal inside the final ten minutes but were stopped by CMU keeper Madison Priebe.
- Jamestown finished with 13 total shots, including 5 shots on goal. CMU took 19 shots overall, 9 on target.
