WILLIAMSBURG, Ky.— The University of Jamestown women's soccer team continued its stretch of games against nationally-ranked opponents Monday evening, losing 4-0 to No. 1 University of the Cumberlands at UC Soccer Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Playing their third straight match against top-20 opponents, the Jimmies held even with the Patriots until the final 14 minutes of the first half.
- In the 36th minute, Carola Fontan's header put the Patriots ahead 1-0.
- Gaby Sarkis had the only shot for UJ, coming in the 7th minute.
- Allyson Johnson made three saves in the opening 45 minutes to keep Jamestown within a goal.
- UC opened the game up in the second half, with goals by Jayden Boelter in the 59th minute and Olaya Blanco in the 66th to extend the lead to 3-0.
- Abigail Little had the final goal for the Patriots in the 83rd minute.
- Johnson made three more saves in the second half before Isa Garcia came on for the final 13 minutes. Garcia had one save.
- Bre Oettle (67th) and Eve Hoppe (86th) had the other shots for the Jimmies.
