National Signing Day: Jimmie football announces 54 new signings

Head Coach Brian Mistro and the University of Jamestown football program announced 54 signings for National Signing Day.

"As we approach a new era of Jimmie Football with the transition into the NCAA Division 2 landscape, we feel like this is a tremendous talent pool of future Jimmies joining us in 2024," said Mistro. "Our staff worked tirelessly to bring in the right fit for the University of Jamestown, not only the football program, but our campus community as well. We would like to the thank the small army of Jimmies that makes this possible. The admissions department, faculty, staff, and most importantly, our current players gave a genuine experience to these young men to pick UJ as their future home."

Class of 2025 Quick Hits

Homegrown talent continues to provide a strong presence for the Jimmies Football program, with 18 North Dakota prep stars signing their letter of intent.. Minnesota and South Dakota continue to have a strong presence as well with five former South Dakota and 12 Minnesota high school standouts joining the program this year.

"Some of these young men have been on campus multiple times throughout the process," Mistro said. "We feel as though these recruits know exactly what they are getting themselves into here at UJ. College football is hard. It isn't for everyone, and these guys are ready for the challenge. We are looking forward to the future of the Jimmie Football program."

In all, nine states represent this year's signing class with Arizona (5), California (4), Colorado (3), Idaho (2), Montana (1), Texas (2) and Washington (1). The Jimmies have also signed one Canadian from Alberta.

This year's class is dominated by signing on the offensive and defensive line. The Jimmies signed 10 offensive lineman and 13 defensive lineman. There will also be strong family ties with the 2024 Jimmies as three signees are set to join their older brother at UJ, bringing the total to four sets of brothers who will wear black and orange together.
