Jimmies add 34 on National Signing Day

The University of Jamestown football program announced 34 signees for National Signing Day.

"We are excited for these young men and their families to join our program," said head coach Brian Mistro. "We believe this is a class that personifies what we really look for in a future Jimmie football player and we are excited to see their future unfold at our university as we head into year two in the NSIC."

Class of 2026 Quick Hits
Loading up the trenches was the theme of the 2026 class, with 14 total signees manning the line of scrimmage. The Jimmies signed seven defensive linemen and seven offensive linemen in the class.

Along with loading the defensive front, the Jimmies also loaded up the "No Fly Zone", signing seven defensive backs in the class, most notably at the safety position with five signing their agreements. In all, the defense announced 18 signees, with two inside linebackers and two outside linebackers rounding out the class.

On the offensive side, it is a class built with dynamic play-making ability as seven skill players join the program. The Jimmies signed five wide receivers as well as two running backs to join the two quarterbacks that also signed their agreements to join the program in the fall.

Pipelines to Jamestown
The class of 2026 is represented by states that are familiar locations for the Jimmies and their recruiting efforts. The trend of Minnesota high school standouts joining the program continues with eight signees coming from the Land of 10,000 Lakes.

The Dakotas also continue to be a mainstay in the program's recruiting efforts with 12 total signees hailing from the Great Plains. North Dakota led all states representing the class with nine signees. A trio of South Dakota stars will make the trek north to Jamestown.

The deserts of Arizona continue to represent a strong presence for the program with five signees in the class of 2026. The western expansion that continued to grow with the 2025 class was bolstered in 2026, as the program announced signees from California (3), Colorado (2), Idaho (1) and Washington (1). The Jimmies followed up their previous years' efforts in Texas with a pair of offensive linemen signing their agreements. In all, the class of 2026 is represented by nine states, all of which the program has recruited with success in previous classes.
