HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Jimmies led 27-15 after the first quarter behind the hot hand of Samantha Paulsen, who opened up the scoring for the Jimmies, and finished 4-4 from the three-point line.
- Hannah Hagel followed with back-to-back buckets and Sarah Lenz followed with a three-pointer of her own to maintain the lead.
- Midland opened up the second quarter with a three-pointer from Sarah Shepard to cut the Jimmies lead to 29-21.
- UJ once again answered back, going on an 8-2 scoring run, including three-pointers by Kate Busek and Jessika Lofstrom, and a two-pointer from Hagel.
- A dominant 26-4 scoring surge in the third quarter sealed the win for the Jimmies, who led 73-33 heading into the fourth.
- UJ held the Warriors to only 1-of-10 shooting overall from the field in the third and Midland made just 2 of their 5 free throw attempts.
- Thirteen Jamestown players made it into the scoring column, led by Hagel's 14 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field.
- Paulsen followed with 12 points, making 4-of-5 shots from the 3-point line.
- Lofstrom grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.
- Kate Cordes passed out three assists, and Jayden Wiest and Hali Savela each had two steals.
