Box Score SALINA, Kan.— The University of Jamestown women's basketball team used a 26-point first quarter to help take down Kansas Wesleyan University 67-51 Saturday evening at Mabee Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- A Kate Cordes basket with 3:21 left in the first started an 11-2 run that included a pair of Jessika Lofstrom three-pointers and a three-point play by Jayden Wiest, and the Jimmies led 26-10 after one.
- The 16-point advantage helped UJ out in the second quarter. Neither team shot well in the quarter, with Jamestown making just 5-of-14 shots (35.7 percent) and KWU making 4-of-11 (36.4 percent).
- Coming out of halftime, Megan Oswald had 6 of the Jimmies' 12 points as UJ went to work inside. Jamestown was 5-of-9 inside the arc but missed all 7 of their three-point attempts.
- UJ took their largest lead of the night after a basket by Kate Busek made it 46-25.
- Lofstrom paced Jamestown in the fourth, scoring 7 points on 3-of-3 shooting. Cordes and Samantha Paulsen each added 4.
- The Jimmies had three players in double figures, led by Cordes with 17. Lofstrom ended with 15 off the bench, and Oswald had a career-high 13.
- Busek led UJ with 7 rebounds, followed by Lofstrom with 6.
