Box Score BELLEVUE, Neb. — The second-ranked University of Jamestown women's volleyball team lost their first match of the season Saturday afternoon, falling in three sets at Gordon Lozier Athletic Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bellevue raced out to a 10-3 lead in the first set but the Jimmies managed to cut the deficit to 13-9 after a kill by Gracie Adamson.
- The Bruins took three straight points and six of the next nine to go ahead 19-12.
- Charlotte Lempka's kill made the score 21-15 before the Bruins closed out the set with the last four points.
- Jamestown led 11-10 in the second, then Bellevue won 10 in a row to build a nine-point advantage.
- Karlie Anderson's kill stopped the Bruins streak, and an attack error gave UJ back-to-back points. However, the Jimmies got no closer than seven and Bellevue took the set 25-17.
- DSU had the Jimmies down 23-20 but a pair of kills by Charlee Krieg and a block from Charlotte Lempka made it 23-23.
- The Jimmies never led in the third set and found themselves down by as many as seven (17-10).
- UJ reeled off four in a row to get within three points but 5 of the next 7 went to Bellevue, doubling the Bruins lead.
- Aleah Zieske had 10 kills, followed by Anderson and Adamson with 6.
- Tenley Buddenhagen passed out 15 assists while Lily Bertsch ended with 7.
- Ellie Holen led the defense with 8 digs, with Bertsch and Grace Hegerle adding 5.
