SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. -- The University of Jamestown women's soccer team continued its streak of facing NAIA Top 15 opponents with a neutral site match against sixth-ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan University on Thursday afternoon.

The Eagles improved to 2-0-0 on the season with a 7-2 victory over the Jimmies, dropping UJ's record to 0-2-1.

Jamestown trailed 3-0 before Ryley Bedard scored in the 28th minute to make it 3-1. Haley Nelson was credited with the assist. 

OWU tacked on four more goals between the 31st and 85th minutes to build their advantage to 7-1. Miarosa Gyllenswan netted UJ's second goal of the match in the final seconds with an assist by Elise Gillis.

Tea Pence made six saves in goal before Anna Cole came on in the 71st minute. Cole finished the match with a pair of saves. 

Tania Mocholi had four goals and a pair of assists for OWU, who outshot UJ 22-7.

Jamestown looks for its first win of 2023 on Saturday when they face John Brown (Ark.) University at 11 AM.
