SIOUX CENTER, Iowa-- Jorden Morales won first place in the discus and Dawson Sedivec qualified for nationals in the hammer throw as the Jimmie men's track and field team wrapped up competition at the GPAC Championships on Saturday.

Morales beat his previous career best (51.50m) set earlier this season, with a top mark of 52.60m, which meets the national qualifying standard.
Sedivec met the provisional mark in the hammer throw with his 55.40m throw and finished fifth. Sedivec and Morales will compete at the NAIA National Championships May 24-26 in Marion, Ind.
As a team, the Jimmies finished with 31 points and were ninth of 12.
Bryson Tripp had two top-eight finishes, 16.16 in the 110m hurdles and 5137 points in the decathlon. His 5137 points set a new personal best.
Braedon Gumke cleared 4.55m in the pole vault to finish fifth.
Braeden Knuston turned in a new personal best time of 56.24 in the 400m hurdles for sixth place.
Connor Smith was seventh in the decathlon (5327) as was Tyler Dean in the discus (45.58m).
The 4x100m relay team of Knutson, Cody Pellaton, Chris Sayler, and Cael Church took seventh with a time of 43.32, and the 4x800m relay team of David Martin, Corbin Cornelius, Drew Hjelmstad, and Alex Walker were seventh in a time of 8:11.69.
