The Jimmie men's track and field team hosted its first meet since 2017 on Friday, with the return of the Al Cassell Classic.
Jamestown had eight first-place finishers and 31 top-six performances on the day.
Cody Pellaton (400m), Alex Walker (800m), Drew Hjelmstad (5000m), Kadin Neppl (high jump), Braedon Gumke (pole vault), Kaden Jensen (long jump), Jorden Morales (discus), and Dawson Sedivec (hammer) all won their respective events, with Pellaton and Hjelmstad setting new personal bests.
David Martin (800m), Tyler Dean (discus), and Josiah Rudloff (triple jump) each finished second, as did the 4x100m relay team of Cael Church, Pellaton, Braeden Knutson, and Jensen; and the 4x400m relay team of Martin, Kanyon Vermillion, Neppl, and Walker.
New personal bests were set by Connor Smith (200m), Landon Thompson (5000m), Vermillion (5000m), Gabe Sherman (discus), Sam Reiland (discus), and Thomas Drago (javelin).
