SEWARD, Neb.-- The University of Jamestown women's soccer team had its season come to a close with a 2-1 loss to Concordia (Neb.) University Thursday evening in the quarterfinals of the GPAC postseason tournament.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Elena Ruiz got the Bulldogs on the board first, scoring an unassisted goal in the 10th minute.
- The lead doubled as Savannah Andrews made it 2-0 with her 13th goal of the year coming in the 36th minute.
- Jamestown managed just two shots in the first half—Vega Canada's attempt that was blocked in the 14th minute, and Eve Hoppe's shot in the 42nd minute that was saved by CUNE keeper Bradi Ore.
- UJ got off to a quick start in the second half. Sidney Mikes had a shot saved by Ore 56 seconds in, and the Jimmies won a corner kick.
- In the 47th minute, Miarosa Gyllenswan cut the Concordia lead in half as she netted her sixth goal of the season to make it 2-1.
- The final two Jimmie shots came from Gyllenswan, who had a shot travel wide right in the 51st minute, and Haley Nelson, whose shot was blocked in the 58th minute.
- After making six saves in the first half, Jamestown goalkeeper Tea Pence made four more in the second.
- Shots ended 18-6 in favor of Concordia (12-2 on target).
- All four top seeds in the postseason tournament advanced to the semifinals, which will be played on Tuesday, November 7.
