ONALASKA, Wis.-- The Jimmie women's golf team placed fourth at the North Star Athletic Association Championship, which concluded Tuesday.
Annie Nelson (JR/Bismarck, N.D.) had the best finish for the Jimmies, tying for fourth place with Bellevue's Wendy Monfort. Nelson shot an 82 in her final round to finish with a 72-hole score of 325.
Savanna Nesemeier (JR/Kindred, N.D.) was 12th with a 354, Alexis Piatz (SO/Oxbow, N.D.) 15th with a 366, and Jenna Knutson (SO/Boulder, Colo.) 19th with a 375. Emma Thompson (JR/Detroit Lakes, Minn.) finished with a two-day score of 179 (92-87).
Ivane Helias of Bellevue was the individual winner. Her score of 316 was five shots ahead of teammate Faustina Peve.
The Bruins won the NSAA title for the second straight season. Their team score of 1321 was 41 shots ahead of Viterbo, 74 shots ahead of Waldorf, and 78 shots ahead of the Jimmies.
