Who or what inspired you to start playing basketball growing up?
- My Dad inspired me to play basketball growing up, because it was always something we could do together and enjoy.
Do you have any pregame superstitions or routines?
- Since high school I have always had a piece of lettuce in my pregame meal.
Tell us about your favorite basketball moment as a player or fan?
- My favorite basketball moment is playing in Milwaukee tournament for aau, as I got to play against Jalen Johnson, Patrick Baldwin Jr, Jc Latham all in one game.

What do you hope every Jimmie fan says after they see our team play?
- How hard we play and how much we care for each other on the court.
Why did you choose UJ and what do you like about being a Jimmie student- athlete?
- I chose UJ because of how high the standards are for each sport here, and the success that comes with it for each sports team. I also chose UJ because of how involved the community is with the sports here at UJ. I am also really excited to play in the Northstar again this year. Being a Jimmie student athlete, I love how we never get any special treatments because we play a sport and how all of the professors here at UJ push you to be your best.
2023-24 (Junior at Valley City State University)
During his junior season, he played in all 27 games, starting 21 of them. He averaged 7.3 points and 7.9 rebounds per game while shooting an impressive 62 percent from the field. Over the course of the season, he recorded seven double-doubles. He set a career-high with 19 rebounds in the season opener against Brandon University.
2022-2023 (Sophomore at Valley City State University)
In his sophomore season, he played in all 30 games, starting 21. He averaged 7.5 points and 6.3 rebounds per game, leading the team with a 61 percent shooting accuracy (84-138) from the field. He recorded four double-doubles throughout the season.
High School
Hunter had a solid high school basketball career at West Fargo High School, finishing with 665 points, 487 rebounds, and 80 blocks. A two-time All-Conference selection. During his time he helped lead them to a 56-22 overall record. with strong finishes at the state level, placing 5th in his junior year and 4th in his sophomore year.
Personal Life
Hunter is the son of Michael and Kristin. He is majoring in Physical Education and Health.
