ABERDEEN, S.D. – The University of Jamestown men's wrestling team faced a tough road test on Friday night, falling 52-0 to Northern State University at Wachs Arena.
Northern State controlled the dual from start to finish, sweeping all ten weight classes to secure the shutout victory. The Wolves' offense was relentless, racking up bonus points in every bout with eight technical falls and one pin.
The dual began at heavyweight, where Tyson Lien put Northern State on the board with a forfeit victory. The Wolves then rattled off eight consecutive technical fall victories from 125 to 184 pounds.
Ryan Hirschkorn capped the night for Northern State at 197 pounds, pinning
Dane Hartmann in 39 seconds.
UJ closes out the dual schedule on Friday, February 20 at 7 p.m., when they host Minnesota State University Moorhead.
