SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The University of Jamestown men's wrestling team dropped a 45-9 dual to Augustana University on Saturday at the Elmen Center.
Despite the team loss, the Jimmies picked up two victories in the lower weights. After Augustana opened with a technical fall at 125 pounds,
Elijah Nose responded for Jamestown at 133 pounds, pinning Braiden Kort in 2:22.
Kellan Larson followed with a hard-fought win at 141 pounds, earning an 8-6 decision over Bentley Williams to give the Jimmies their second consecutive victory of the night.
Augustana controlled the remainder of the dual, rattling off seven straight wins to close out the match. The Vikings recorded four pins and three technical falls during the contest.
The Jimmies host Minnesota State on Saturday, January 24 at 7:00 p.m.
