OMAHA, Neb.— The Jimmie baseball team lost its second-to-last doubleheader of the regular season Saturday afternoon to Bellevue University, with the Bruins taking a 10-inning, 2-1 victory in the opener followed by an 8-3 win in game two at John Stella Field.
THE BASICS

GAME ONE
	- A squeeze bunt by the Bruins in the bottom of the tenth inning brought in the winning run as Bellevue took the opener 2-1.
- With the bases loaded and just one out, Bellevue's Anthony Lind put down a sacrifice bunt to score Jake Lacey from third base.
- UJ got on the board in the top of the first with a single by Jordan Singleton, and held on to a 1-0 lead until the bottom of the third, when the Bruins tied the game on Logan Grant's RBI single.
- The game remained 1-1 as UJ's Avery Liestman and Bellevue's Parker McMan battled it out on the mound.
- Liestman left with two outs in the sixth after giving up one run on five hits, replaced by Ben Bohlmann.
- McMan went nine innings for the Bruins, surrendering one run on eight hits.
- Bohlmann struck out six in 3 2/3 innings and allowed just one hit, but was the losing pitcher after being responsible for the winning run reaching base.
- Chase Burke had a pair of hits for the Jimmies.
GAME TWO
	- Ayden Makarus gave Bellevue a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first, and the Jimmies would not get on the board until the top of the fourth.
- Alex Alva led off the inning with a single and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt. A single by Jordan Singleton put runners on the corners, and after pinch-runner Dallas Cummins swiped second, Triston Madison reached on a fielder's choice, with Alva coming home on a throwing error for UJ's first run.
- A two-run homer by Elijah Tanner in the fourth put the Bruins ahead 5-1, then an RBI single from Steven Elsner made it a 6-1 game.
- Madison delivered a two-run single in the sixth to bring the Jimmies within 6-3, but a solo homer by Makarus and a squeeze bunt by Nick Gravel restored the Bruins' five-run lead.
- Luke Zimmer (6-4) took the loss for Jamestown, giving up five earned runs in 4 1/3 innings.
- Alva finished 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored while Ben Patton had two hits, including a double.
