JAMESTOWN, N.D.— The Jimmie baseball team began its weekend series with Dickinson State (N.D.) University with a split of games on Saturday afternoon at Jack Brown Stadium. The Blue Hawks took game one 5-2 in nine innings, then Jamestown used a nine-run fourth inning on the way to a 15-5 victory in game two.

GAME ONE
- Ryan Muizelaar's two-run home run in the bottom of the first gave Jamestown a 2-0 lead, but those would be the only runs for the Jimmies in game one.
- Dickinson State's Cam Erickson hit a solo home run in the top of the third, then Luis Rodriguez homered to tie the game in the top of the seventh.
- In the ninth, Jadyn Roberts put the Blue Hawks ahead with a three-run home run, the third of the game for DSU.
- UJ left 11 runners on base, nine of them in scoring position.
- Chase Burke doubled twice, while Landon Runge and Triston Madison also doubled.
- Avery Liestman started on the mound for Jamestown and went 6 1 /3 innings, striking out six while giving up two runs on six hits.
- Joe Hart (1-1) took the loss after allowing three runs on five hits in 1 1/3 innings.
GAME TWO
- Dickinson State's Wyatt Wilharm hit a solo home run in the top of the first, but the Blue Hawks' lead was short-lived as the Jimmies went ahead 2-1 an inning later on Ben Patton's RBI single and Chase Burke's bases-loaded walk.
- In the third inning, Ryan Muizelaar hit his second homer of the day to extend the UJ lead to 3-1.
- Luis Rodriguez brought the Blue Hawks level with his two-run home run in the fourth, then in the bottom half the Jimmie offense came alive.
- Patton launched a three-run homer and Alex Alva hit a two-run shot as part of a nine-run inning that pushed Jamestown out to a 12-3 lead.
- Another run in the fifth and two more in the sixth rounded out the scoring for the Jimmies, who reached double digit run totals for the fourth time in their last five games.
- UJ's 18-hit attack was led by Patton's 4-for-4 effort and Muizelaar's 3-for-5 game.
- Alva, Triston Madison, Isaiah Roebuck, Landon Runge, and Riki Okamoto all had two hits.
- Luke Zimmer (6-3) got the win, pitching 4 2/3 innings with seven strikeouts.
