DICKINSON, N.D.—The University of Jamestown baseball team capped off the North Star Athletic Association Preseason Classic with a pair of wins on Saturday, setting a new program record with a 33-0 win over Valley City State (N.D.), then followed with a 19-4 victory over Mayville State (N.D.)

FRIDAY VS. MAYVILLE STATE
- Jordan Singleton's two-run double in the first staked the Jimmies to a 2-0 lead, then the Comets cut the lead in half with a single run in the bottom of the second.
- The score remained 2-1 until the top of the sixth. Ryan Muizelaar and Dallas Cummins pulled off a double steal to give UJ runners at second and third. Varen Sabino grounded out to second but Muizelaar came home to make it 3-1 as Cummins took third.
- Isaiah Roebuck followed with a double to score Cummins for a 4-1 lead.
- A solo home run by the Comets accounted for the final run of the game in the bottom of the sixth.
- Avery Liestman (5-1) won for the third time in his last four starts, going the distance in his fourth complete game of the season. Liestman struck out five and did not walk a batter.
- Chase Burke had a pair of hits and stole a base for Jamestown.
FRIDAY VS. DICKINSON STATE
- Ryan Muizelaar's two-run home run in the bottom of the first put Jamestown ahead 2-0, but that would be all the offense for the Jimmies against Dickinson State.
- The Blue Hawks scored once in the top of the third to make it 2-1, then plated four more in the sixth and another in the seventh to take a 6-2 win.
- Muizelaar was 2-for-4, while Chase Burke doubled. Landon Runge and Julian Romero also had hits for the Jimmies.
- Luke Zimmer (2-3) struck out 8 in 5 1/3 innings, giving up three earned runs on four hits.
SATURDAY VS. VALLEY CITY STATE
- Jamestown batters clubbed eight home runs, including three by Ben Patton and two from Ryan Muizelaar as part of a 28-hit attack in setting a new single-game record with 33 runs.
- Chase Burke, Isaiah Roebuck, and Landon Runge also went deep along with Muizelaar in the first inning as the Jimmies jumped out to a 6-0 lead.
- A ten-run second inning broke the game open, and after being held scoreless in the third, Jamestown had multiple-run innings over the last four frames, including 10 more in the top of the seventh.
- Patton's two-run shot in the sixth pushed the lead to 22-0, then he added a pair of three-run homers in the seventh to close out the scoring. He finished 4-for-5 with a pair of walks, 8 RBI, and 6 runs scored.
- Muizelaar went 3-for-3 with 3 runs and 3 RBI, and Runge was 3-for-4 with 4 RBI and 2 runs scored.
- Burke, Dallas Cummins, Sy Steele, Triston Madison, Matson Hoff, Julian Romero, and Riki Okamoto all had two hits. Every UJ starter recorded at least one hit.
- While the Jimmie hitters were piling up the hits, Ryan Radkey was keeping the Viking batters from doing the same. Radkey carried a no-hitter for 6 2/3 innings and struck out 10 to improve his season record to 3-2. It was his first shutout as a Jimmie and second complete game of the season.
SATURDAY VS. MAYVILLE STATE
- The offense continued to roll against Mayville State as UJ hitters racked up 22 hits and 19 runs.
- Isaiah Roebuck was a perfect 3-for-3 with 3 RBI and 4 runs scored, Alex Alva was 2-for-5 with 3 RBI and a home run, and Chase Burke, Will Bachman, Varen Sabino, Triston Madison, Ben Patton, Landon Runge, and Riki Okamoto all posted two hits.
- Ben Swennumson added a home run, and Jordan Singleton and Dallas Cummins also had hits for Jamestown.
- UJ led 11-0 after two innings, then extended their lead to 19-1 after scoring three in the fourth and five in the fifth.
- Isaac Hanson (3-0) struck out 8 in 6 innings, giving up just one run on four hits to get the win.
