Jamestown, N.D— The University of Jamestown Men's Basketball team survived an epic battle at the Harold Newman Arena, defeating the University of Mary Marauders 99-91 in double overtime (2OT) to secure their first NSIC conference win of the season.

QUARTER-BY-QUARTER FLOW (HALVES & OVERTIME)
1st Half: Offensive Battle (Jamestown trails 43-53)
The Marauders started the game with incredible offensive firepower, fueled by their bench scoring 29 points and scoring 17 points off Jimmie turnovers. Despite the early scoring push from Marauders, the Jimmies offense, led by key baskets from Anthony Walters (9 points) and Owen Hektner (5 points), remained competitive. The Marauders took advantage of Jimmie fouls, converting 7-of-9 free throws. Jamestown trailed 53-43 at the half.
2nd Half: Jimmies' Massive Comeback (Jamestown wins half 35-25; Tied 78-78)
The Jimmies mounted a dramatic comeback in the second half, outscoring the Marauders by 10 points. The Jimmies dominated the glass with 13 offensive rebounds, driving second-chance scoring. Ford Okehi provided the final heroic touch, hitting a key layup in the final minute to tie the game at 78-78 and force the first overtime.
1st Overtime: Trading Blows (Tied 88-88)
The close competition continued into the first overtime. Anthony Walters and Owen Hektner scored to keep the Jimmies in contention. Ford Okehi hit a fast-break layup with 1:27 left to tie the game at 86-86, and Owen Hektner hit a jumper in the final minute to tie it again at 88-88, pushing the game into a second overtime.
2nd Overtime: Jimmies Take Control (Jamestown wins 99-91)
Jamestown finally secured the victory in the second overtime period. Anthony Walters and Ford Okehi converted crucial free throws to widen the lead. Walters hit a jumper to put the Jimmies up 94-90, and a final pair of free throws from Ford Okehi sealed the 99-91 victory.
