JAMESTOWN, N.D. – The University of Jamestown men's wrestling team fell 32-18 to Minot State University in a dual Thursday evening at Harold Newman Arena.
The Jimmies secured four victories in the dual, highlighted by back-to-back pins at 133 and 141 pounds. Elijah Nose pinned Minot State's Andrew Worthington in 6:15 at 133, followed by Kellan Larson's fall over Dylan McDonald in 2:11 at 141 pounds.
Jamestown also picked up a win in sudden victory at 157 pounds, where Maddox Campbell defeated Robert Salehi 12-9. At 184, Hayden Ramaeker earned a 13-10 decision over Brogan Flannigan.
Minot State controlled the remainder of the dual, recording three pins and a technical fall. Cole Faircloth opened the night with a pin at 125 pounds in 2:12. John Armstrong (165) and Shafer Ehmke (197) also won by fall, with times of 5:59 and 1:01, respectively.
Gavin Turk added bonus points for MSU with an 18-1 technical fall over Colton Schaad at 174 pounds. In the 149-pound match, Ethan Wonser earned a 14-11 decision over William Cook. The dual concluded with Carmine Morton taking a forfeit victory at 285 pounds.
The Jimmies travel to Bismarck, N.D., on Friday for a dual against University of Mary beginning at 7 p.m.
