Jimmies Overcome Halftime Deficit To Extend Four Game Winning Streak

Crookston, Minn.— The University of Jamestown Men's Basketball team extended their winning streak to four games, defeating the Minnesota-Crookston Golden Eagles 78-71 at Lysaker Gym.

QUARTER-BY-QUARTER FLOW (HALVES)

1st Half: Golden Eagles Edge Ahead (Minnestoa Crookston leads 37-33)

The first half was a back-and-forth affair featuring three ties and five lead changes. The Jimmies found success early in the paint, scoring 16 points inside, but trailed 37-33 at the break. Anthony Walters kept the Jimmies close with 10 points in the half, while Thomas Diew anchored the defense with two blocks.

2nd Half: Offensive Efficiency Seals the Win (Jamestown wins half 45-34; Jamestown wins 78-71)

Jamestown dominated the second half, outscoring the Golden Eagles 45-34 to reclaim the lead for good. The Jimmies' shooting was clinical in the final 20 minutes, hitting 16-of-28 (57%) from the field and 4-of-7 (57%) from three-point range. Anthony Walters finished with a team-high 22 points, while Thomas Diew (14 points) and Owen Hektner (12 points) provided crucial double-digit support. Clutch free-throw shooting by Davis Walker and Anthony Walters in the final minute iced the game.
