GRIMES, Iowa-- The University of Jamestown men's wrestling team saw several strong performances in the Fresh/Soph division at the Grand View Open. Hayden Ramaeker and Maddox Campbell led the Jimmies with deep runs in their respective consolation brackets.
COMPLETE RESULTS
Hayden Ramaeker (Fresh/Soph 184): After a third-round loss, Ramaeker battled back with five straight victories in the consolation bracket, including two wins by fall and three by decision.
Maddox Campbell (Fresh/Soph 157): Following an opening-round loss, Campbell mounted an impressive four-match winning streak in the consolations, earning a tech fall, a fall, and two decisions.
Rocker Aguilar (Fresh/Soph 165): Won his opening match by tech fall. He added another tech fall in the consolation bracket before being eliminated.
Colton Schaad (Fresh/Soph 174): Finished with four wins overall, taking his first match by fall and adding another pin and two decisions in the consolation rounds.
Isaac Ronquillo (Fresh/Soph 125): Recorded a dominant 16-1 tech fall and a win by fall.
Dane Hartmann (Fresh/Soph 184): highlighted by a win by fall in the consolation bracket.
Ethan Holstein (Fresh/Soph 149): Picked up a win by decision and a win by fall.
Landon Day (Fresh/Soph 165): Earned a consolation win by fall.
William Cook (Fresh/Soph 157): Posted a 10-9 decision in sudden victory.
Jamestown returns home to host St. Cloud State in a dual on Friday, December 5, beginning at 7 p.m.
