LA CROSSE, Wis.—The fourth-ranked University of Jamestown women's volleyball team won both of their matches Friday at the V-Hawk Fall Invitational, hosted by Viterbo University. The Jimmies defeated Judson (Ill.) 3-1 and completed a reverse sweep against No. 17 Viterbo, winning 3-2.

JAMESTOWN 3, JUDSON 1
- After opening with a 25-18 win, the Jimmies lost the second set by just two at were tied with the Eagles 1-1 going into the third set. UJ hit .500 with 14 kills and 0 errors on the way to a convincing 25-14 win, then held off Judson by taking four of the last five points to seal the win.
- UJ hit .209 for the match with 58 kills and 24 errors on 163 attempts. Judson hit .072 in the match with 30 kills and 20 errors on 139 attempts.
- Three Jimmies finished with 11 or more kills, led by Aleah Zieske with 17. Charlee Krieg had 13 kills and Lexi Olson added 11.
- Lily Bertsch had 23 assists and 13 digs while Tenley Buddenhagen added 20 assists. Ellie Holen led the defense with 22 digs, followed by Zieske with 15 and Olson with 11. Olson had a team-best five total blocks.
JAMESTOWN 3, VITERBO 2
- Viterbo led 2-0 going into the third set after 25-23 and 25-22 wins. UJ led 18-9 in the third set before the V-Hawks stormed back to get within 18-16. The Jimmies closed on a 7-3 run to force a fourth set. In the fourth, Jamestown twice came back from two-point deficits and won three of the last four points to go the fifth set. UJ led 12-5 before Viterbo took the next five points, and out of a Jimmie timeout, Jamestown regained its composure and scored their final three points on kills by Charlotte Lempka, Olson, and Gracie Adamson.
- Jamestown finished with a .264 hitting percentage while Viterbo hit .247 overall.
- Aleah Zieske led all players with a career-high 34 kills and added 10 digs. Adamson put down 12 kills and Lempka 11. Tenley Buddenhagen had a double-double with 34 assists and 10 digs, and Lily Bertsch passed out 32 assists and ended with 13 digs for a double-double.
- Ellie Holen (24 digs) and Grace Hegerle (17) paced UJ's defense. Olson had four total blocks, including 1 solo.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- UJ is 6-0 for the second time since the 2021 season that ended with a 35-1 record.
FOR THE FOES
- Alyssa Gerzel had 12 kills for Judson.
- Jada Mitchell had 16 kills and hit .353 for Viterbo, which also got 12 kills from Hailee Halverson.
