Jim Zalesky has resigned as University of Jamestown men's wrestling head coach.
"Jim has been a pleasure to work with during his time at UJ," said Jimmie Director of Athletics Austin Hieb. "He brought decades of high-level experience to our department, and we appreciate all he has done during his time here. We wish him nothing but the best in his next chapter. While we're sad to see Jim leave, we're excited to find the next leader of Jimmie men's wrestling."
"I really enjoyed my time at UJ," Zalesky said. "It is a special place with great people to work with and great support from the community."
A member of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, Zalesky coached the Jimmies for the past three seasons after 23 years between the University of Iowa (1997-2006) and Oregon State University (2006-2020).
A national search for Zalesky's successor is underway.
