CRETE, Neb. – The University of Jamestown men's wrestling team had 12 wrestlers in action Saturday at the Conner/Oppenheim Open, hosted by Doane University.
The tournament was split into two divisions, Open and Amateur.
Eli Barajas (125), Diante Taylor (184), and Cullen Glatt (197) all posted wins in the Open division.
In the Amateur division, Zairyn Ramos-Semana (125), Samuel Sampers (157), Dawson Gregg (174), and Aden Jorgensen (197) picked up victories.
Sampers (1:19) and Gregg (5:32) won by pin, while Ramos-Semana was a winner by 17-1 tech fall, and Jorgensen won by 8-7 decision.
UJ returns to action in the new year, hosting Dickinson State (N.D.) in a dual on Thursday, January 9, beginning at 7 p.m.
