The University of Jamestown Division 2 hockey team scored nine straight goals Friday evening at Wilson Arena, defeating Bethel (Minn.) University 9-2.
Jamestown trailed 2-0 after one, but took the lead with second-period goals by Christian Jarmusz (JR/Eden, N.Y.), Justin King (JR/Markham, Ontario), and Alex Church (SO/Troy, Ohio).
Tyler Ralph (FR/St. Albert, Alberta) and Aidan Potas (FR/Fargo, N.D.) each had a pair of goals while Lukas Brockman (JR/Elk River, Minn.) and Josh Hoffman (JR/McMurray, Pa.) also lit the lamp for the Jimmies in the third.
Church was credited with three assists, while Ralph, King, Potas, Jensen Baehr (JR/Boulder, Colo.), Gunnar Gibbs (SR/Grand Forks, N.D.), Connor Rollo (SR/Camarillo, Calif.), Pierce Martin (JR/Elkhorn, Manitoba), and Josh Moe (JR/Mandan, N.D.) all had an assist.
Xavier Baker (FR/West Fargo, N.D.) stopped 18 of 20 shots in his first start of the season.
