The University of Jamestown ACHA D2 Men's Hockey team traveled to play the Minnesota-Crookston Golden Eagles on Friday, October 11, and Saturday, October 12. The Jimmies came up short in both games. 

HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME 1

• The Golden Eagles first goal came early in the first period. Tyler Ralph (assist Josh Bishop) scored a shorted-handed goal nine minutes later for the Jimmies, tying the score. The Golden Eagles were quick to respond, taking advantage of a power play and ending scoring for the first. 
• The lone goal in the second period and first goal in the third was scored by the Golden Eagles, putting them ahead of the Jimmies 4-1. 
• James Poole scored for the Jimmies with four minutes left of play, concluding the scoring for the game. The Jimmies came up two goals short of the Golden Eagles
• Xavier Baker saved 58 of the 62 shots he faced. 

HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME 2

• The Golden Eagles got up 3-0 of the Jimmies halfway into the first, forcing the Jimmies to play catch up. In the second half of the period, the Jimmies outscored the Golden Eagles 3-2, putting them within two goals of the Golden Eagles to end the first.  
• Jimmie scoring in the first period included Tanner Freed with two and James Poole with one. Poole, Hunter Rossland, and Reece Nelson were all credited with assists. 
• The Jimmies fourth and final goal came from James Hooton (assist James Gudino) 1:30 into the third period. 
• The Jimmies doubled their goals from the first game but again came up short as the Golden Eagles scored four more goals after their five in the first. 
• Xaver Baker saved 53 of the 62 shots he faced.
