Phoebe Edwards (SO/Adelaide, Australia) (women's soccer) and Brook Bergh (SO/Havana, N.D.) (men's golf) have been named Jamestown Optimist Club Athletes of the Week for the week of August 21-27, 2017.

Edwards scored two goals in two victories over Morningside (Iowa) and Briar Cliff (Iowa) last weekend.

Bergh took co-medalist honors with a 1-under par round of 71 at the UJ Fall Kickoff tournament at the Jamestown Country Club.

Optimist International is an association of more than 2,900 Optimist Clubs around the world dedicated to "Bringing Out the Best in Kids."
