The University of Jamestown has been approved to continue into year two of the NCAA Division II expedited membership process. This means that the University of Jamestown has one remaining year of provisional membership status, and if all goes according to plan the Jimmies will be a full NCAA Division II member in the 2026-27 school year. This will be the University of Jamestown's first year as a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). The Jimmies will play a full NSIC conference schedule in all sports that the NSIC sponsors during the 2025-26 school year. The University of Jamestown has also been accepted as an associate member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) for men's volleyball and will begin competition in the GLVC during the 2025-26 school year.
