JAMESTOWN, N.D. — The University of Jamestown announced today that Athletic Director
Austin Hieb has accepted the position of Deputy Athletic Director with South Dakota State University.
During Hieb's tenure, Jimmie Athletics experienced significant growth both competitively and institutionally, including the university's successful transition to NCAA Division II membership and the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).
"We are grateful for Austin's leadership and the impact he has made on our student athletes and athletic department," said University of Jamestown President Dr. Polly Peterson. "He helped guide Jimmie Athletics through an important period of growth and change while continuing to strengthen a culture centered on excellence, character, and student success. While we will miss Austin, we are excited for him and his family as they step into this next opportunity."

The University of Jamestown will begin the leadership transition process immediately, with additional information to be shared in the coming days.
