JAMESTOWN, N.D. — University of Jamestown Athletic Director Brian Mistro announced the promotion of Bryce Nybo to Deputy Athletic Director for Compliance and Student-Athlete Success.

Nybo, who previously served as the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance, will assume his new duties immediately. In this expanded role, Nybo will continue to oversee all NCAA Division II compliance operations for the university while taking on direct leadership of departmental initiatives focused on the academic achievement, well-being, and personal development of Jimmie student-athletes.

"Bryce has been an integral part of our athletic department's operations and has worked tirelessly to ensure our programs operate at the highest standard," Mistro said. "As we continue to grow and firmly establish ourselves in the NSIC, his leadership in compliance and his dedication to the holistic success of our student-athletes will be critical. Bryce understands what it takes to win both in competition and in the classroom, and we are thrilled to see him step into this elevated role."

Nybo was a driving force behind the scenes during the University of Jamestown's recent transition to NCAA Division II. His expertise and integral contributions throughout the expedited membership process ensured the athletic department successfully navigated the complex regulatory landscape required for full NCAA and Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) integration.

Moving forward in his capacity as Deputy AD, Nybo will work closely with coaches, university faculty, and campus leadership to build comprehensive support systems that prepare student-athletes for life beyond graduation. He will also remain the primary liaison for all NCAA and NSIC compliance reporting, rules education, and eligibility certification.
