University of Jamestown Director of Athletics Austin Hieb has announced the hiring of Nick Patterson as the new Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Operations.

Patterson comes to Jamestown from Warrensburg, Mo., where he served as the Ticket Operations Coordinator at the University of Central Missouri. In this role, Patterson oversaw all athletic ticketing operations as well as gameday and event operations, implemented and directed the athletic internship program, collaborated with sponsors and donors, and assisted the department in all day-to-day operations. 

Patterson is a graduate of Baker University, earning his bachelor's degree in Sports Administration with minors in Business and Psychology. Patterson was a member of the track and field team that won six conference titles and qualified for the NAIA National Championships in the javelin his senior season. After completing his undergraduate degree, Patterson continued his education with Baker University, graduating with his Masters of Science in Sports Marketing in 2020 while also serving as the Graduate Assistant to the Athletic Director.
