JAMESTOWN, N.D. — Former University of Jamestown baseball standout Ryan Radkey has signed a professional contract with the Boise Hawks of the Pioneer Baseball League.

The Albany, Calif., native and former Jimmie starting pitcher will continue his career in the professional ranks after making a significant impact on the mound during his collegiate tenure. Radkey transferred to UJ from Los Medanos College and quickly became a highly reliable anchor for the pitching staff.

During his two seasons with the Jimmies, Radkey compiled an impressive 9-4 overall record with a 3.57 ERA. Over 93 1/3 innings pitched, he recorded 89 strikeouts while demonstrating excellent command and durability. In his 2025 senior campaign, Radkey earned a 5-3 record with a 3.33 ERA, striking out 52 batters across 51 1/3 innings of work.

Prior to joining the Hawks, Radkey made five appearances, including four starts, with the Ogden Raptors, also of the PBL. In his debut with Boise on July 15, Radkey started and pitched six innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits, striking out four in the Hawks' 6-5 win over the RedPocket Mobiles.  

Radkey also proved his abilities at the premier amateur level in the Northwoods League with the Bismarck Larks. During the summer of 2025, his dominant performance on the mound earned him a highly coveted spot on the Northwoods League All-Star roster after posting a 2.09 ERA during the first half of the season.

The Boise Hawks, based in Boise, Idaho, compete in the Pioneer Baseball League, an MLB Partner League featuring teams across the Mountain West region.
