Last Saturday, the Shooting Sports Team opened its season by competing in its first Olympic Air Pistol tournament of the year at the Gateway Pistol Match, hosted by Red River Range in West Fargo.
Athletes faced a demanding match format, beginning with a combined 15-minute preparation and sighter period, followed by 75 minutes to complete 60 recorded shots. The event tested both precision and mental endurance as competitors worked to stay consistent under time pressure.
The team delivered a strong start to the season, highlighted by Luke Sieben's impressive performance. He earned a third-place finish with a score of 513 out of 600 points, setting a solid foundation for the remainder of the year.
The Shooting Sports Team looks forward to building on this momentum as the season continues.
