JAMESTOWN, N.D. – The Jimmies defended their home court Saturday morning, earning a 3-1 victory over Dordt University at Harold Newman Arena.
Jamestown controlled the pace offensively and remained composed in key moments, securing the win with set scores of 25-22, 25-18, 22-25, 25-22.
The Jimmies set the tone early, recording 15 kills in the opening set to claim a 25-22 win. Jamestown carried that momentum into the second frame, continuing to apply pressure and moving the ball efficiently to earn a 25-18 victory and take a 2–0 lead in the match. After a tightly contested third set went to Dordt, the Jimmies responded with poise in the fourth, using a balanced attack to close out the match with a 25-22 decision.
Chase Hawkinson led the way offensively for the Jimmies, finishing with a match-high 21 kills on 38 attempts. He added a solo block and four block assists, totaling 24 points on the afternoon. Ladarius Williams provided consistent production with 14 kills and 8 digs, while Ethan Carroll and Cohen Johnson combined for 10 kills and seven block assists at the net.
The offense was orchestrated by Kaden Jenkins, who recorded 39 assists and nine digs, with Rowan Shaughnessy contributing six assists. Defensively, Jackson Holmes anchored the back row with six digs and added a solo block, while Lucas Soeldner chipped in three kills and a block assist to help seal the win.
