University of Jamestown Shooting Sports Excels at Saturday Tournament

The University of Jamestown Shooting Sports team delivered an impressive performance at last

Saturday's North Dakota Collegiate Championship, earning second place overall in the team

singles competition and posting strong individual results across multiple events. Seven schools

and more than 80 competitors participated in the championship.

In Men's Singles, a four-way tie at 98/100 led to an intense shoot-off. James Meyer emerged

victorious, securing first place, while Luke Sieben claimed third.

The Women's Singles event featured a three-way tie for third place at 93/100. Alecia Akers

advanced to the shoot-off, where she earned second place in the shoot-off and fourth place

overall.

The team's success continued in doubles competition. William Wanzek took second place in

Men's Doubles with a score of 44/50. In Women's Doubles, Alecia Akers posted a 38/50 to

finish second, followed closely by Lisa McMullen in third place with a 37/50.

A big thank you to the BSC Clay Dusters and Capital City Gun Club for hosting a well-organized

tournament and providing a top-notch venue for competition.
