THE BASICS FINAL SCORES: Jamestown 5, Concordia Ann Arbor 2; Northwestern 7, Jamestown 2 LOCATION: Lincoln Park / Tucson, Ariz. RECORDS: Jamestown 14-9, Concordia Ann Arbor 6-6, Northwestern 18-5 JAMESTOWN VS. CONCORDIA ANN ARBOR The Jimmies trailed 1-0 going into the bottom of the third but managed to tie the score. Trinity Gregg singled with one out and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt. Following a walk to Maddie Spaeth, Kayla Quintanilla came through with a two-out single to bring home Gregg. Laura Ransome gave UJ a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the fourth with a single to center that scored Sonya Rodgers who pinch ran for Kaitlin McCartney after she led off the inning with a base hit. Jamestown increased their lead in the bottom of the fifth on a two-run single by Natalie Draper. Lauren Weigel and Maddie Spaeth hit consecutive singles to start the inning, then each advanced a base after a wild pitch. Concordia had runners on first and third with two out in the top of the sixth, but scored just one run to make the score 5-2. Abby Blair won her fourth straight start and improved to 5-4 on the season. She struck out seven over seven innings and gave up two runs on seven hits. Spaeth and Weigel both went 2-for-3 at the plate in the Jimmies' 10-hit attack. JAMESTOWN VS. NORTHWESTERN After the Jimmies tied the game in the top of the fourth on Kayla Quintanilla's RBI single, the Red Raiders scored six times over the next three innings and went on to a 7-2 victory. Kate Geiszler hit her first college home run with one out in the top of the seventh for UJ's final run. Hope Ransome (3-4) gave up three runs (two earned) on three hits over 3 1/3 innings to take the loss. Sidnie Aasen had two of Jamestown's six hits in the game, including a triple. Trinity Gregg singled to extend her hitting streak to 11 games and her consecutive games streak of reaching base to 21.
