The University of Jamestown men's volleyball team faced a tough challenge against Hope International University (Calif.) at the Darling Pavilion in Fullerton, CA. The Jimmies fought hard but ultimately fell short, losing the contest 3-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Jimmies came out hot and a 4-0 run led by kills from Michal Niemiec and Tomasz Swiderski to take a 8-3 lead
- The Royals crawled their way slowly and with a 4-0 run they tied the set 18-18
- The set was back and forth but a short 2-0 run by the Royals delivered them the set win 25-22
- In the second set it was the Royals this time who had and early 4-0 run taking a 4-7 lead over the Jimmies
- A kill by Tomasz Swiderski and Tysen Myers brought the Jimmies within one 12-11 but the Royals responded with a 3-0 run and eventually took the set two 25-20
- In the third the Jimmies came out hot once again and going on a 13-5 run lead by two kills by Gaven Hackley and Markam Cook coupled with some Royal errors and taking a 14-9 lead over the Royals
- After a timeout in the game the Royals were able to complete the comeback outscoring the Jimmies 18-6 in the end to take the third set and the game 25-22
