HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Jordan Singleton, Triston Madison, Isaiah Roebuck, and Ben Swennumson each drove in a run as the Jimmies took a 4-0 lead after the first inning.
  • A Mount Marty error led to another run in the second inning, then Jamestown broke the game open with three more runs in the third.
  • The Lancers plated a pair of runs in the bottom of the third but UJ answered with two runs of their own to retake an eight-run lead.
  • Singleton came home on a single by Triston Madison in the sixth inning to make the score 11-2.
  • Mount Marty made some noise in the sixth against three Jimmie relievers, scoring five times with only one out and getting runners at first and second, but Ben Bohlmann got the last two outs of the inning to minimize the damage.
  • The Lancers added an unearned run in the bottom of the seventh for the final run of the game.
