Jamestown, ND – The University of Jamestown Women's Volleyball team powered through a five-set marathon against the Bemidji State Beavers on Friday night, securing a thrilling home victory at the Harold Newman Arena. The Jimmies displayed impressive hitting efficiency and securing their second NSIC win of the season.

Set 3 (23-25, BSU Win): The Jimmies started the set strong defensively, with a block by Caroline Puetz and Addison Brooke to tie the score at 3-3. Mid-set, Kyleigh Schopp and Addison Ertz combined for a block, drawing the Jimmies a larger lead at 8-5. Ava Mueller delivered a clutch kill late in the set (assisted by Lily Bertsch) to bring the score to 21-19. The Beavers and Jimmies battled but the Beavers were able to ouscore the Jimmies 3-1 to secure the 25-23 set.
Set 4 (25-22, UJ Win):Facing elimination, the Jimmies' offense returned to form with a .314 hitting percentage. A service ace from Lily Bertsch and a series of blocks involving Caroline Puetz and Kyleigh Schopp helped the Jimmies regain the momentum needed to win 25-22, tying the match and forcing the decisive fifth set.
Set 5: (15-9, UJ Win): The Jimmies' collective effort peaked in the fifth set, where they jumped out to a quick lead. Crucial kills from Ava Mueller and Addison Brooke, alongside a momentum-shifting block from Addison Brooke and Ava Mueller, fueled the surge. With a comfortable lead, kills from Kyleigh Schopp and Corbyn Menz sealed the 15-9 set victory, completing the thrilling five-set comeback for the Jimmies.
