Jamestown N.D. — The University of Jamestown women's basketball team defeated Dickinson State University 78-67 Friday afternoon at the Harold Newman Arena in Jamestown, N.D.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Jimmies started off for a slow start allowing the Bruins to go on a 12-3 run to fall behind quickly
- The Jimmies finished the first quarter behind 22-18
- In the second quarter the Jimmies rallied back to take a lead by a three pointer by Kate Busek with 8:59 remaining
- A Bluehawks layup by Brae Eneboe tied the game at 32-32 but the Jimmies went on a 9-1 scoring run to to into halftime ahead 41-33
- In the third quarter a Jayden Wiest three pointer gave the Jimmies a 17 point lead their largest of the game with 2:28 remaining
- The Bluehawks answered back by going on a 7-0 scoring run bringing the game within 10 points heading to the fourth quarter
- A two pointer by Kayden Steele brought the Bluehawks within three points with 5:55 remaining
- But an 11-4 run by Jimmies with 4:18 remaining was enough for them to pull ahead for victory
- Kate Cordes led Jamestown with a career high 34 points making a career high of 12 field goals followed by a season high 14 points by Kate Busek and Jayden Wiest had 12 points
- Jessika Lofstrom led the Jimmies with seven rebounds and Codres and Busek each had a team high of four assists
- Lofstrom recorded three steals
