Box Score Jamestown, N.D. – The University of Jamestown men's basketball team is on a five-game win streak after winning a battle with the Mayville State Comets on Friday night.
Silas Bennion had 24 points, four rebounds, and four assists on the evening.
Anthony Walters followed with 19 points, going 3-4 from beyond the arc, and
Jimmy Llinas rounded out the night with a 10-point, 11-rebound double-double.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Jimmies had six straight points with buckets from Will Cordes, Owen Hektner, and Silas Bennion to start the game. JJ White answered with his first of five threes to quickly cut the Jimmies lead in half.
- The Jimmies worked to extend their lead over the Comets and earned a 12-point advantage (32-20) thanks to back-to-back threes from Spencer Barr with 7:46 to play in the half.
- The Comets gave the Jimmies a battle for the next three minutes, outscoring them 11 to one to get within two points. Then, and ones from Carson Woodford and Bennion, followed by another two points from Bennion, brought the Jimmies back to a double-digit advantage.
- The Comets scored eight more points, and the Jimmies scored four to end the first half of play ahead 45-39.
- The Comets gained their first lead three minutes into the second half. After this, the Jimmies and Comets took turns with the lead, neither team leading more than four points.
- A Bennion bucket evened the playing field at 79-79 with only 3:08 left on the clock. A steal and 3-pointer from Anthony Walters gave the Jimmies the fire to outscore the Comets in the last minutes to win 88-82.
- The Jimmies shot 54.7% from the field and grabbed 39 rebounds, eight more than the Comets.
