JAMESTOWN, N.D. – The University of Jamestown baseball team wrapped up the home portion of its fall schedule Friday afternoon with a sweep of Dickinson State (N.D.) University, winning 4-2 and 8-2 to improve to 5-1 overall.

GAME ONE: JAMESTOWN 4, DICKINSON STATE 2
• Luke Zimmer pitched into the sixth inning in game one, striking out seven and allowing only one run to pick up his first win of the season.
• Triston Madison staked the Jimmies to an early lead with a two-run homer in the bottom of the first inning. After the Blue Hawks got within 2-1 in the third, Madison's sacrifice fly scored Chase Burke to make it 3-1 Jimmies.
• Ryan Muizelaar homered to lead off the bottom of the fourth as Jamestown extended its lead to 4-1, and the score held at 4-1 until the top of the seventh. Jace Buchanan hit a solo home run with two out to account for the game's final run.
• Ryan Wike got the last four outs to record his first save.
• Burke went 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles and two runs scored from the leadoff spot.
GAME TWO: JAMESTOWN 8, DICKINSON STATE 2
• Jordan Singleton homered twice, driving in three runs, and Triston Madison added a three-run double as the Jimmies completed the sweep of the Blue Hawks.
• DSU scored twice against UJ starter Ryan Radkey in the top of the first, but their lead was short-lived as Jamestown answered with a pair of runs in their half of the inning. Chase Burke led off with a single, moved to second on a wild pitch, and then came home on a triple by Alex Alva. Madison singled to drive in Alva for the tying run.
• In the bottom of the second, Madison cleared the bases with a double to right center and Singleton launched his first long ball of the contest to make it a 7-2 game. Singleton's second homer came leading off the bottom of the fifth.
• Burke, Madison, and Singleton combined for six of UJ's eight hits in the game.
• Radkey (2-0) struck out 5 in 4 1/3 innings and Jimmie relievers Tyler McGowan, Austin Shelton, and Joe Hart worked the final 2 2/3 innings without giving up a run.
FOR THE FOES
• Wyatt Wilharm and John-Michael Gonzalez posted multi-hit games for DSU in game two, while Jace Buchanan had a pair of hits in the opener.

• Jamestown travels to Dickinson State for a doubleheader on Friday, October 4 to finish the fall season.
