YANKTON, S.D.-- The University of Jamestown baseball team split a doubleheader Monday afternoon against Mount Marty University, winning 2-0 in the first game, then falling 9-0 in game two.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS

• Cade Torgerson struck out seven batters in 6 1/3 scoreless innings to improve his record to 7-1.
• Hayden Brown got the final two outs to record his second save.
• Brown drove in the Jimmies' first run with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the first.
• Julian Sansores led off the fifth inning with a pinch-hit home run to extend UJ's lead to 2-0.
• Ryan Muizelaar went 2-for-3 to lead Jamestown.

GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS

• The Jimmies were held to just five hits by the Lancers in game two.
• Chase Burke, Jordan Singleton, Jett Nelson, Ben Swennumson, and Isaiah Roebuck each had a single for UJ.
• Mount Marty put up seven runs in the top of the second, then tacked on two more in the top of the sixth to finish the scoring.
