HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Jimmies got down 15-4 in the first seven minutes of the first half. Then, the Jimmies managed to get within three, putting up 16 points to the Tigers eight (20-23).
- The Jimmies stayed close behind the Tigers, falling behind seven at one point but managing to get back within one point (33-34) with 45 seconds remaining.
- Will Cordes tied the game with seven seconds left, ending the half 35-35.
- The Tigers opened up the second half with five points. Then, Will Cordes, Cole Woodford, and Silas Bennion all had two-pointers to take the lead (41-40).
- Points were tight for a while, neither team being able to a gain a lead of more than three until seven minutes remained in the second half.
- Tigers went on a little scoring streak to lead by eight (73-65), eventually gaining a lead of nine (76-67) with 4:34 left.
- The Jimmies chipped away but were still down seven with 1:27 remaining of the game. Bennion and Woodford hit threes to help the Jimmies get within four (83-87).
- With only 42 seconds left, the Jimmies put up six points. The Tigers were sent to the free throw line twice to score four points. With three seconds left, Cordes took a three-pointer in an effort to win the game.
