The Teams

The Jimmie women's volleyball team will head into the match against UMary with a record of 11-3 overall and 4-2 in the Northern Sun. Jamestown is currently in sole possession of sixth place in the conference.

Last time out, UJ took down Minot State away from home in straight sets with the scores at 26-24, 25-23, and 25-18. Adamson had her second-straight double-double with 12 kills and 16 digs against the Beavers. Caroline Puetz and Charlotte Lempka both had seven blocks with Lempka's number being a career-high for the senior. Ketterling had 22 digs and setters Kate Wiebesiek and Ava Bertsch both posted double-doubles in assists and digs.

Jamestown held the Beavers to .124 attacking (38-20-145) while also recording double-digits in blocks with 10 for the seventh time in the season. 77 digs was tied for the most on the year out of any three-set match.

With the road victory over Minot State as the 11th win, Jamestown has surpassed their win total of 2025 only halfway through the 2026 season. Adamson ranks seventh in the conference in both total kills and kills per set with 168 and 3.5, respectively. The senior from South Dakota is also ninth in the conference in digs per set at 3.65.

Lempka is another big name for the Jimmies, ranking second on the team with 2.27 kills per set as well as a Jamestown-best .327 attacking percentage (109-35-226). She, Puetz, and Kyleigh Schopp are all top 12 in the NSIC in blocks per set with Lempka averaging .88, Puetz .96 and a team-best 51 total, while Schopp is second in the conference at 1.11. These three are key reasons as to why Jamestown is second in the Northern Sun with 2.23 blocks per set as well as second with an opponent attacking percentage of .157.

The University of Mary checks into the match at 4-10 overall and tied for 10th place in the conference with a 2-4 NSIC mark. The Marauders suffered a three-set defeat at Northern State on Saturday, dropping the sets 25-20, 25-13, and 25-14. Nobody had more than six kills with the Wolves stifling UMary to an .068 attacking percentage (28-21-103). Holli Klettheimer had six kills, four blocks, and three digs while Natalie Boehmer logged 19 assists and seven digs. Norah Thome digged seven balls as well.

The Marauders finished their 2025 campaign with a record of 6-22 overall and 3-17 in the NSIC. They finished 14th in the final standings, which is also the same position they were picked in the 2026 NSIC Volleyball Coaches' Preseason Poll.

Judith Burke is the top attacker for UMary with her kills per set average at 3.06 halfway through the season. Gabrielle Reynolds is right behind Burke with 2.33 kills per set and Klettheimer leads the team with a .297 attacking percentage (97-32-219) in addition to 31 blocks (.74 per set).
